At Wild + Sea, we believe in doing things a little differently. Instead of diving into the frenzy of Black Friday, we’re focusing on what really matters: creating products that last, protecting our planet, and supporting people and organisations making a real difference
So, we're turning this Black Friday blue by donating 30% of total sales to British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR). BDMLR is an incredible charity dedicated to the rescue and conservation of marine animals. Their work spans the entire length of the U.K - from responding to stranded and entangled whales, dolphins, and seals, providing training for volunteers, to advocating for marine wildlife protection. Preserving the wild spaces and ecosystems that make our planet extraordinary is what their volunteers tirelessly do, day in, day out
Our Difference
At Wild + Sea, sustainability isn’t just a buzzword; it’s at the core of everything we create. Our products are made with intention, from materials that honour the planet. For example - the soy in our non-toxic candles comes from Illinois and Iowa in the U.S.A instead of from South America, which is far more common, and is directly linked to deforestation. A fact that isn't well known in the candle world. Or our recycled fishing net and ocean plastic products - recycling plastic waste into functional pieces that tell a story and keep it out of harms way on our coastlines - something that BDMLR has to deal with all too often with marine mammal entangling
We've been a 1% for the Planet member from day one - committing a portion of our total revenue (not profit) to environmental causes. Every purchase you make supports these initiatives, helping to fund projects that protect the wild spaces we all value and enjoy
We're only a year old but we started how we mean to go on and embedded our values throughout - from who we work with, how we give back, right down to the small things like our plastic-free, recycled or biodegradable packaging. That’s why we’ve chosen to step away from Black Friday and support BDMLR instead
